Sales Administrator

About us

At Marlborough Tiles, we transform humble objects into works of art. Think of wall and floor tiles and you’re likely to imagine functional rectangles in busy areas like bathrooms, kitchens and halls. But for us a tile is where science meets art. Each one represents the sum total of experimentation, learning, technique and passion passed down for generations.

We are entering a new era of growth and our strategy is to harness our 80-year heritage into a powerful brand, selling tiles direct to the public through an e-commerce website, our network of retail partners and our specialised showroom showcasing batch production and hand painting of artisanal tiles.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a family owned business and become an integral part of a small team. We are looking for an Office Sales Administrator on full time basis. You will be based at our North Wiltshire head office, which is also home to our factory, hand painting studio and showroom. You will be working closely with and reporting to a husband and wife team – Jo and Jamie Robb.

About You

We are looking for a recent graduate with a warm and friendly manner who gets a buzz being organised. You will be a people person and have some customer service experience, a keen eye for detail and understanding the importance of presentation. You must have strong administration skills, be computer savvy, comfortable with Microsoft Office, good with numbers and have the ability to learn our inventory management system. An interest in design, home interiors, colour and a passion for artisanal products like ours would be an advantage but not essential as this role is strongly administrative.

What you’ll be doing

  • The number one most important thing you’ll be doing is processing orders received by email.
  • General office administration, including invoicing.
  • Be willing and able to help the marketing team with tasks such as updating our website, sending email newsletters to customers and creating price and product lists. Training will be provided.
  • Liaise with the team in the warehouse and some of our suppliers to fulfil orders.

What we can offer

  • Salary - £20-26K
  • Workplace pension scheme
  • Good holiday allowance
  • Career progression for the right candidate

If this has engaged your senses and you’d like to know more please send you CV and covering letter with details of your current salary details to us at
