Our love letter to the Hebrides, the Isles collection of handmade tiles takes its inspiration from the dramatic colours and rich textures that characterise Scotland’s lochs, moorlands, mountains, and coastlines.
A celebration of the rugged beauty of these special places, each colourway shifts in tone across the surface of the tiles in a way that is reminiscent of the ever-changing light moving across the landscapes of Scotland.
We have worked tirelessly to perfect a range of two-toned glazes that give these handmade wall tiles a stunning depth of colour that you simply won’t find anywhere else. These artisanal tiles feature a rustic terracotta body, which has been carefully glazed and fired by hand using traditional techniques in our Marlborough factory.
Its beauty lies in the multiple layers of glaze – in different colours and weights – that has been poured onto the surface of the handmade tiles and through a process of carefully controlled natural reaction has resulted in exquisite textural irregularities that are characteristic of stoneware. You may also find them evocative of zellige tiles or bejmat tiles, with an organic, multi-tonal look.
Available in a choice of seven colourways, each colour is made up of a blend of different tones, which creates a wonderful sense of visual movement when laid together.
