Marlborough Tiles celebrates double honours at Ideal Home Awards 2026
Our creative Bloomsbury collection and much-loved Wilding tiles were recognised for their outstanding design and craftsmanship
Marlborough Tiles is pleased to announce that its Bloomsbury collection has been awarded Best Kitchen Tiles at the Ideal Home Awards 2026. The collection, comprising handcrafted wall tiles, draws inspiration from the vibrant creative legacy of the early twentieth-century Bloomsbury Group.
Recognised for its distinctive design language, artisanal quality and enduring aesthetic, the Bloomsbury collection reflects the group’s rich use of colour, expressive artistry and cultural significance. This accolade reinforces Marlborough Tiles’ commitment to producing design-led ceramics that balance heritage influences with the demands of contemporary interiors.
Our Bloomsbury Sepia Square (left) takes its cue from the tones of aged paper and the softly weathered interiors of Charleston House.
Charleston Red Square (right) draws on the warmth of glowing hearths and richly textured historic walls - the backdrop to the Bloomsbury Group’s creative gatherings.
In addition to this achievement, Marlborough also received Highly Commended recognition in the Best Bathroom Tiles category for its Wilding collection, highlighting its versatility across both kitchen and bathroom design.
Wilding offers a fresh interpretation of the traditional Delft tile, featuring thirteen characterful British wildlife creatures. Each design is individually hand painted in classic Delft blue on a handmade rustic base. Originally introduced in 2020, the collection was expanded in 2025 with four new additions - Puffin, Stag, Badger and Red Squirrel. Notably, five percent of sales from these new designs are donated to the People’s Trust for Endangered Species, supporting the conservation of native wildlife.
All thirteen Wilding designs are available on our 11x11cm rustic tile, on a Chalk White or Antique White base, painted by hand in a traditional Delft blue, with corner motifs or without.
These accolades from the Ideal Home Awards 2026 underscore Marlborough Tiles’ dedication to craftsmanship, innovation and excellence within British tile design.
