Into the wild: four new joyful designs join the Wilding collection

The expanded collection now features thirteen untamed creatures, from the elusive red squirrel to the endangered puffin

Welcoming four new creatures

Into the wild

We are delighted to introduce four new additions to our much-loved Wilding collection: the puffin, stag, red squirrel and badger.

Handcrafted with care, artistry and meticulous attention to detail, each tile captures the playful spirit of British wildlife. Painted by hand in the traditional Delft style, the designs are full of life and character, perfect for bringing warmth and imagination into your home.

The expanded collection now features thirteen untamed creatures - from foxes and bustards to boars and wolves, and now the puffin, stag, red squirrel and badger. Every tile reflects our deep connection to nature and our passion for celebrating it through timeless craft.

Protecting Britain’s rarest wildlife

Many of the animals featured in the Wilding collection, from the elusive red squirrel to the endangered puffin, are increasingly rare in the British landscape. To help protect them for future generations, we will be donating 5% of sales from our new Wilding designs to the People’s Trust for Endangered Species (PTES) for six months, a charity dedicated to safeguarding the UK’s most at-risk wildlife. By supporting this initiative, each tile not only brings the beauty of nature into your home but also contributes directly to the preservation of these much-loved species.

Tradition in every brushstoke

Our artists have been hand painting in the Delft and Majolica styles since 1936, blending tradition with fresh inspiration. Kirsty, who has spent over two decades perfecting her technique at Marlborough Tiles, led the development of these new designs. Focusing on movement and expression, she brought each animal to life with flowing brushstrokes and a painterly economy of line.

The characters are depicted in a rich Delft blue, with subtle touches of red pigment to add depth and energy. This distinctive style creates tiles that feel at once classic and contemporary, minimal yet brimming with personality.

A rustic and timeless style

All thirteen Wilding designs are available on our 11x11cm rustic tile, on a Chalk White or Antique White base, painted by hand in a traditional Delft blue, with corner motifs or without.

Our rustic tiles have an organic finish, rich with character and natural imperfections. No two tiles are exactly the same - a feature we love because it tells the story of how they were made.

We’re delighted that Marlborough Tiles’ Wilding collection is helping to celebrate and protect British wildlife. Their generous support will contribute directly to our work safeguarding the UK’s most endangered species and the special places they call home, ensuring they remain part of our natural heritage for generations to come.
