The spring edit

The spring edit

At Marlborough Tiles, we have always drawn inspiration from nature. So, with winter officially behind us, and as spring begins to bloom, we're pleased to share with you a selection of design ideas, patterns, and colours to celebrate the change in seasons.

Whether you're embarking on a full-fledged renovation or are simply planning a little DIY project over the Easter holidays, we hope this piece will inspire you to welcome spring's uplifting energy into your home.

Springtime florals

The Ana collection is our latest collaboration with leading interior design studio, Sims Hilditch. It features a timeless, hand painted pattern in the Mediterranean style.

The collection is available in a variety of soft colours that are beautifully suited to the English home. Used in a panel, the soft, hand painted pattern creates a charming springlike floral, and the Powder Blue, Amber and Thyme colours shown below are particularly reminiscent of the colours of the season.

Dappled light

Whatever the weather, the crackle glaze and undulating, organic surface of these skinny metro tiles from our Kennet collection in warm Winterbourne White will reflect the light around your space beautifully. We love this tile in combination with our Weathered Oak porcelain planks.

Into the blue

Now is the time of year when the sky and sea transform from dark blues and greys to lighter, brighter hues which lift our spirits.

These gorgeous tiles in Coldharbour Green and Diminished Blue from our Marlborough Matts collection are reminiscent of just that. Beautifully flat and consistent in colour, with a chalky matt look, these tiles are beautiful in a light-filled bathroom or kitchen.

Delicate botanicals

What could be more springlike than the pretty botanical tendrils of our Emma collection, in Sage Green?

This beautiful kitchen pairs the hand painted tiles with our Andalusia collection of terracotta effect porcelain tiles, which seem to call in the long, warm evenings of summer. They're just as beautiful as the real thing, but have the benefit of being both durable and stain resistant.

Wilding blue kitchen

Our hand painted Wilding collection answers our craving to get back to nature. It features nine untamed and playful animals from British wildlife, individually painted by hand in the traditional Delft blue on our rustic biscuit. These charming creatures will certainly put a spring in your step, adding delight and character to any living space.

Our rustic Delft-style Wilding tiles offer a classic yet whimsical handpainted tile suitable for any room in the house.

Our full range of handmade wall tiles can be explored here, and our hand painted wall tiles here.

You can also find our range of hardwearing, highly realistic porcelain floor tiles here, including our Andalucia terracotta effect tiles and our range of stone effect and wood effect floor tiles.
